Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the stunning South Tyrolean mountains, Falkensteiner Hotel & Spa Falkensteinerhof offers an exceptional experience for both adventure seekers and relaxation enthusiasts. The location is a dream for skiers, with slopes just steps away, making it super convenient for a week of hitting the powder. My recent Christmas visit, accompanied by a few fellow marathon runners, found us basking in the glory of hearty breakfasts featuring everything from freshly baked breads to local cheeses and delicious efforts to accommodate gluten and lactose-free diets. The spacious double rooms were modern and cozy, boasting breathtaking views of the mountains that drew my eyes each morning. We indulged in the half-board option, which included scrumptious dinners with local flair; the regional cuisine was definitely a highlight. A special shout-out to the dedicated staff, especially Alex and his wife, whose customer service truly elevated our experience. After a day of skiing, we lounged in the beautiful outside heated swimming pool while soaking in the panoramic views-nothing quite like it to unwind after an exhilarating day. I can't wait to return, as this hotel has cemented itself as a top-notch destination for both fitness enthusiasts and relaxation seekers.
